Commissioning

As operations commence, the project concept transitions into tangible reality.

Throughout the commissioning phase, our priority is to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the process plant according to your company's specifications. Our experienced commissioning engineers adeptly navigate both expected and unforeseen technical challenges with a pragmatic approach. We meticulously prepare for the transition to operational status, rigorously verifying system functionality and safety, fine-tuning system operation to meet desired parameters, conducting service runs, providing training for operating personnel, and meticulously compiling comprehensive system documentation.

Our expertise is dedicated to bringing your plant into operation.

Throughout the commissioning phase, we meticulously prepare for the handover to operations. Our seasoned commissioning engineers from MT-Plant Consulting collaborate closely with your company team to ensure that the system functionality aligns with your requirements and guarantees safety during continuous operation. Leveraging our extensive experience, we swiftly and efficiently address any technical challenges that may arise. Our commissioning services include:
- Conducting Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
- Initiating Start-up procedures
- Executing Cold operation and Hot commissioning
- Conducting Performance tests
- Compiling comprehensive plant documentation
- Performing Function qualification (OQ) tests

Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

The Site Acceptance Test (SAT) occurs post-assembly but before the full system commissioning, focusing primarily on individual functional units supplied by vendors. The SAT validates the proper installation and functionality of the provided units. It adheres to an inspection and test plan established collaboratively with the responsible supplier prior to order initiation.

Cold commissioning

Following the successful completion of the plant, initial cold commissioning procedures are undertaken. Typically, the project team is assisted by your operating team during this phase. Cold commissioning involves using non-critical cold media, such as water, to ensure the system's functionality without posing any risk to personnel, the environment, or the system itself. Throughout cold operation, thorough checks are conducted to verify system security and functionality, with any identified issues promptly addressed. Upon confirming the system's security and functionality, commissioning can proceed to the next phase.

Hot commissioning

Hot commissioning is conducted by your operational team following the handover of the plant to your company. Our commissioning engineers provide support during this phase, ensuring seamless integration with your operational team. Hot commissioning involves the use of actual operating media, which often carries increased risk due to operating parameters and material properties. Therefore, prior cold commissioning is essential to ensure safety. During hot commissioning, process parameters are adjusted via the control system, and the plant's production capability is verified. Additionally, safety tests are conducted under real operating conditions, with any remaining issues addressed before initiating full production runs.

Performance testing.

Following the commissioning of the facilities, a performance test is conducted to assess the plant's performance under actual operating conditions. Your operations team conducts the initial performance test, with support from MT-Plant Consulting commissioning engineers. This test, along with subsequent optimization efforts, ensures that production targets are met in terms of both quantity and quality.
